PARADE ARTS DAY – free day for all ages
On Sunday afternoon of 13th March 2016, villagers gathered to learn how to drum, dance and use crafts to create activities that could become part of a planned parade in 2017. Children learned how to weave, make Brazilian samba music on drums, and how to dance with Reach for the Stars, one of the dance teams from Rossington. With adults, they learned how to make flags with animals and fishes as their themes. In addition, another group were making bunting from felt. Local tutors worked alongside artists and a drum-leader set up by Right Up Our Street.
